Pi Bar

Probably the most disappointing yet in my search of pizza in San Francisco. Perhaps the wasting of my time could of been averted by checking out reviews beforehand as all of the positive ones seem to rave about it’s beer (selection) which for the purposes of this blog (and in general) I could give a shit less about. I want good pizza and I did not come close to finding it here.

The crust would best be described as limp, and I mean seriously/sadly limp. So much so that I could of rolled the pizza up in to a tiny wrap without any cracking or resistance. The cornicione was dry to the point of being brittle and had no discernible taste. Just a flat-out 0-star rating for the crust. So bad that the decent cheese and good pepperoni couldn’t start to save things. There was very little sauce and the cheese swamped what little flavor it might of been imparting. The “housemade” sausage wasn’t worth adding to the other slice as it was subtle at best, with no pork or season taste to be found. I might as well of stuck with cheese or better yet order two pepperoni. Regardless there’s no need to worry about what I could of done to order something better b/c I won’t bother going back to try out the theory. I had watched and waited for this place to open forever and had I not moved out of the mission would of been there much sooner though I suppose the result wouldn’t of changed.
